Art Licks Weekend 2019
Annelie and Joanne are interested in the qualities of ‘friendship’ as an ethos for creating open and non-hierarchical atmospheres for the exhibitions they make together.
The exhibition will feature a number of our favorite artists from last year including La JohnJoseph, Nigel Grimmer, Joanne Newman and Eden Topall-Rabanes (all of whom also made up the selection panel to keep it peer-to-peer) and a further BIG-LOAD of artists selected from the open call
Join us on Friday 4th May 6pm - 10pm for FUTURE HEROINE an artist take-over & exhibition by inspired by space, futurism, feminism, and real/imagined heroines by Joanne Newman, Jojo Hynes, Annelie Fawke, Jeni Johnson and Marek Tarkowski.
You will be invited to move around the temple, take time out and find your headspace though art, food and interactions.
Make a devotion, bathe in the light, seek self-forgiveness through chocolate, speak to the plants, eat pizza, calm yourself with a drink, and listen to soothing sounds.
Breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold, continue...
Come be restored and let go.
Triangular Brush (Annelie Fawke, Jojo Hynes, Joanne Newman) will be presenting The Legend of Siobhan Ni Eidhin as procession on the opening night and as exhibition throughout the festival.
